BUSINESS CLUB TUN SLO MEETING WITH UTICA SOUSSE

On 12 February 2026, representatives of the Business Club Tun Slo took part in an important consultation with the regional branch of Tunisia’s largest economic organization, UTICA Sousse. The delegation was led by the Director of the Business Club Tun Slo, Domen Mikša, accompanied by business partners. They were received at the organization’s headquarters by the President of the branch, Mr. Ali Ben Yahia, together with the Head of International Business.

The meeting was held in a constructive and cooperative spirit. The central part of the consultation was dedicated to the presentation of the Slovenian business environment and the investment opportunities offered by Slovenia. The Tunisian hosts also presented the characteristics of the Tunisian market, with a particular focus on regional development and support for entrepreneurship.

Special emphasis was placed on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and the possibilities for strengthening cooperation between them. Participants highlighted examples of good practice from previous collaboration between Slovenian and Tunisian SMEs. The discussion also addressed concrete opportunities for further deepening economic relations between the two countries.

Representatives of the Slovenian company Intradent d.o.o. also joined the delegation. The company operates in Tunisia in the field of supplying dental laboratories. The visit represented an opportunity for further expansion of distribution channels and for strengthening its presence on the Tunisian market. Company representatives expressed satisfaction with their cooperation to date and with the openness of the Tunisian market.

The Tunisian side expressed its readiness to provide institutional support in establishing new business contacts. Both parties emphasized their interest in continued institutional backing for such business initiatives. The meeting confirmed the mutual willingness to strengthen economic cooperation and to develop new joint projects. It concluded with an agreement on next steps and on maintaining regular dialogue between the partners.

At the close of the meeting, UTICA Sousse expressed openness to further cooperation and its readiness to support Slovenian companies and suppliers whenever they require institutional assistance in their activities on the Tunisian market.

The Business Club Tun Slo also underlined that its doors remain open to provide assistance and support to Slovenian companies in Tunis and in their entry and operations on the Tunisian market.
